OPEN: Preparing for 2013

The Oregon Program Evaluators Network (OPEN) is an active local affiliate of the American Evaluation Association. I feel fortunate to have been involved with OPEN for several years now, serving on the events committee, co-chairing that committee, and this year, as President-Elect. This means that come 2013, I’ll take over as President for the year. I’m especially fortunate to be working with, and following in the footsteps of, a number of strong leaders who’ve helped the organization grow and evolve. As I assemble a council for 2013 I think about continuing this legacy, and I’m excited about some of the events on the horizon, including:

November 14, 2012: Networking & Community Learning Happy Hour(s)

December 3, 2012: Annual Business Meeting

An evaluation book (or article) club! More information to come.

Tentatively — March 15, 2013: OPEN Conference (Portland) — A day jam-packed full of good stuff including a great keynote, a number of breakout sessions (workshops, panels, etc.), and lunch!
