I think this is a fascinating graphic from XKCD.com, posted this week. Is this data actionable?
(Hint: I’m pondering conceptual and/or political uses from Patton’s framework – see Utilization-Focused Evaluation page 112 for a synopsis of Patton’s ‘Use Distinctions’)

  1. Exactly! It’s not the sort of thing you can understand at first glance, but when you realize how much information is jammed in there, and displayed in such an interesting way… it becomes pretty impressive. 😀
